Philly, Fathers, and Fun

Warning: this post contains a lot of pictures and is really long!
We've had a great couple of weeks (especially weekends) exploring Philadelphia! A couple weeks ago we walked over to "Love Park". We enjoyed watching the skateboarders (apparently it's a famous place to skateboard). James even stopped one of the guys to ask all about it, but really I think he was wishing he could borrow the guy's board for a few minutes!

A group of my awesome classmates went to a Durham Bulls game during one of the weekdays I was home. It was so much fun!
Hannah loved cheering, walking up and down the aisle, and trying to steal cotton candy and lemonade from the people sitting behind us!
Two weekends ago we went to the Philadelphia Zoo. It's the first zoo in the US and it's really nice.
Hannah preferred to run from animal to animal (she actually enjoyed running even more than looking at the animals!)

On Father's Day, we walked through Fairmont Park and the Waterworks behind the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It was beautiful!
Hannah and Daddy. James, thanks for being such a great dad to our little girl. We love you!
The list is growing: Hannah does not like Santa, the Easter bunny, and now Benjamin Franklin!

This past weekend, we went up to the New York to see James' brother Jordan and his wife Kristi. While we were there, we also were able to meet up with our good friends the Fehlbergs. We had an incredible brunch with them at Norma's at the Parker Meridian. I had fruit-stuffed waffles (the Waz-za) and James had French toast that was about as tall as him. It was fantastic (and the company was great too!)!
Then we headed over to FAO Schwartz to check out the giant piano. Hannah hardly weighed enough to light up the keys, but she still loved it.
That night, Jordan and Kristi took us to a great Italian restaurant in Soho and then for a walk through Little Italy. We decided something seemed a little wrong about this picture!

We got a parking ticket for not leaving 9 feet between us and a fire hydrant. Here, James (who is 6 feet tall) is demonstrating that there is clearly more than 9 feet between the car and hydrant. I think it was almost worth the ticket to see James lay down on the street in New York!
