LDSSA Beach Trip

After the guys finished finals this spring, seven of Fuqua's LDS families packed up and headed to Hatteras for a week at the beach. We rented an awesome beachfront house at the end of Hatteras Island (right across from the Ocracoke ferry). Luckily, the weather was gorgeous, so we spent all our time playing in the sand, bodyboarding in the ocean, and laying next to the freezing cold pool at the house (while the kids played in the hot tub). We enjoyed a ton of good food as each family took a night to provide a homecooked meal. And after the kids went to bed, we were able to enjoy playing games, sitting around talking, and watching hilarious YouTube videos. It was a great final farewell to a lot of our closest friends before we all took off for new jobs and internships.
"Pondview" - our home for the week
The whole group - Stuckis, Pettersens, Annisons, Hansens, Alders, Macbeths, Winders, and Garners
Lounging by the pool
Family Home Evening (Hannah's doing a great job paying attention!)
Playing kickball for the FHE activity - Hannah showing some athletic ability for a second
Painting a beautiful souvenir picture frame
The women getting ready to conquer the waves
Jack convincing Hannah that family pictures will be fun (it then took licorice to convince her to take her fingers out of her mouth!)
My beautiful little girl

That sounds like so much fun! I wish we had done something like that with all our MBA friends. I love those last four pictures of your family and esp. the last one of Hannah. They are absolutely beautiful!

You do make a pretty beautiful daughter! And no toddler is cooperative for pictures (at least not mine) so I'm impressed you got such a good one!
